
NELA-Illinois is offering the Lunch and Learn program "The Benefits of FOIA Litigation for Attorneys" on Tuesday, March 10, 2026 at 12:00 pm. Jordan Marsh of the Law Office of Jordan Marsh, will be discussing how his firm became involved in FOIA litigation, how FOIA litigation works, its purpose and benefits, pitfalls to avoid, and recommended strategies to obtain materials that were not provided pursuant to a FOIA request, as well as attorney fees and costs. He will discuss what activities are and are not recoverable as attorney fees, and how judges have ruled on the FOIA lawsuits his firm has filed.
This CLE will be presented IN PERSON at Hughes Socol, 70 West Madison, 40th Floor. ID must be presented at the lobby reception.
During the registration process, you will be asked whether you are attending IN PERSON or VIRTUALLY VIA ZOOM. The purpose of registration is to provide a list of in-person attendees to the building reception and to have an appropriate amount of food available.

Lunch will be available for those attending in person. Those attending virtually will receive an email with the Zoom the day before the event.
